The Guardia Universal TPMS Sensors can be relearned using the Autel TPMS Programming Tool. This guide will walk you through the step-by-step procedure to ensure your sensors are accurately programmed and integrated with your vehicle’s TPMS system.

Step-by-Step Programming Guide

Required Tools

  • Autel  TPMS Programming Tool

  • Guardia Universal TPMS Sensors

  • Vehicle’s owner manual (for specific TPMS reset procedures)

Step-by-Step Programming Guide

  • Prepare the TPMS Programming Tool

  • Ensure the Autel MaxiTPMS TS501 is fully charged or connected to a power source.

  • Power the device and select the "TPMS" option from the main menu.

Select Vehicle Make and Model

  • Navigate through the menu to select your vehicle's make, model, and year.

  • This ensures that the tool uses the correct communication protocol for your vehicle.

Scan Existing Sensors (if applicable)

If replacing an existing sensor, use the programming tool to scan and retrieve the information from the existing sensor.

Place the Device near the tire and select "Read Sensor." Follow the on-screen instructions to capture the sensor data.

 

Program the New Guardia TPMS Sensor

Insert the new Guardia TPMS sensor into the programming slot on the device.

  • Select "Program Sensor" from the menu.

  • Choose "Auto Create" or "Manual Create" depending on whether you duplicate an existing sensor ID or create a new one.

    • Auto Create: The tool will automatically generate a new sensor ID.

    • Manual Create: Input the existing sensor ID manually if you duplicate a sensor.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the programming process. The tool will confirm once the sensor is successfully programmed.

Access Vehicle’s TPMS Learning Mode

  • Refer to your vehicle’s owner manual to access the TPMS learning mode. This often involves specific steps like turning the ignition key to the "ON" position and pressing certain buttons.

Initiate Relearn Process with the Programing Tool

  • On the device, select "Relearn Procedure" from the menu.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to start the relearning process. The tool will guide you through positioning it near each tire in the sequence required by your vehicle.

Relearn Each Sensor

  • Place the device near the tire's sidewall, close to the valve stem.

  • The tool will trigger the sensor and display the sensor ID and pressure information.

  • Confirm that each sensor has been detected and relearned correctly before moving to the next tire.

Complete the Relearn Process

  • Once all sensors have been relearned, the tool will confirm the process is complete.

  • Exit the TPMS learning mode on your vehicle following the steps in the owner manual.
